I'm not gonna sit here and say Why does our government not look out for us? Why is the world so mean? Blah blah blah. I'm a teenager with limited information and I'm gonna sit here and whine about "The Man."
FALSE.
Politics has consumed me, but I have consumed it as well. I know my facts, I know where I stand. You can decided for your self. No bull, maybe some bias.
For those of you who don't know me, I'm Jose. Future politician of the Democratic Party, God willing the next five years of my life play out well enough. I'm a liberal, but I'm not far left. I support Sen Barack Obama for President.
And I know that this country needs change. Not the government but the people. We. WE THE PEOPLE.
Madison and Jefferson weren't thinking about Federalists and Democratic Republicans (oh the irony of the latter party's name). They weren't thinking about left and right. They were thinking about how not to epic fail.
How have they done? What do you think? If they were alive today, would they be proud? I think not. After all, Madison and Jefferson were, for lack of better terms, racists (except Jefferson had notably 15 more times as fun). They were aristocrats. They were wealthy. And they were idealists. How would they react to the possibly ascension to a black man as the leader of not only the greatest democratic country in the world, but of the West? They'd crap their coat-tails.
How would they react when they show touch screen voting booths and lines over a mile long to vote? I could imagine they'd jump so high for joy their powered wigs would fall off! But then there's that whole oh-wait-the-machine-just-cast-my-vote-for-the-Republican-not-the-Democrat bit. Funny...I haven't heard from the other side.
Some might say I'm late in the game: The Election of 2008 is coming to a close, The Panic of 2008 already started, whats the point? The point is politics doesn't stop here. It's in our lives: in our cars, in our pay-checks, in our food! We'd be fools in the eyes of Madison and Jefferson to believe otherwise.
They believed in us. The population. They believed in "We the People." Not we the politics.
Debate me. Cause I know a lot of smart Republicans (yeah, they're out there) who don't speak up. REPRESENT your people, it's part of our wonderful democracy. But I know a lot of ignorant conservatives. Then again, if I were like they, I'd assume you were all right-winged fantatical christian commies threatening to eliminated the state and poison my water supply and his under my bed at not. And for those of you who do think like that? Pardon me as I open an informative can of liberal whoop....well, you know what.

Thanks Erinn. I'll be updating pretty much constantly this week, ad I'm looking forward to your feedback. It's great to have someone from the other side who knows what they're talking about :]
Ahh, that's exactly how I feel! I feel that there are so many people out there voting for a candidate that they don't know anything about either because someone they know is or because of something unimportant such as appearance. And I'm so glad that you actually know your facts and you're making a good educated decision without arguing me on the point like so many people tend to do these days :p
